My object as an artist is to interpret your images, dreams and memories and to capture them in colour. Most of my paintings are designed for a specific location, occasion or person.
The size, medium and genre is up to you: most importantly, the commissioned piece is unique! I am based in Mallorca and in the Alsace.

Il Postino
This piece was commissioned by a friend as a present to her husband in memory of their holiday in Sicily. The painting shows the original billboard for the film, Il Postino, which still stands today in the coastal town of Salina, where parts of the film were shot. According to popular hearsay, the bike parts poking through the now well-weathered billboard, are parts from the postman’s original bicycle. Whilst I could not literally plaster bike parts on to the canvas, by applying very thick paint-pastes and careful shading, I could closely simulate the 3-dimensional bike parts, which almost appear to cut through the canvas. The weather-worn colours on the original billboard were exchanged with more brilliant colours, to recapture some of the original energy, passion and pathos of the film.

Following agreement on the size/medium and style of a commission, clients receive a pre-estimate of the total cost. Full payment only follows, if the painting fulfils your expectations. Transport and framing can be arranged at an extra charge.
